We had a very quiet day today with two-thirds of our class away for track! All track participants received their homework last Friday to keep up with the class. Please take note of the extra day on the POW.

Have a blessed week! Here are two Saints who were canonized on Sunday! I felt pride at being Catholic while watching it all unfold live... in the middle of the night! I definitely needed coffee all day Sunday, but it was well worth it! The best part for me was watching 800, 000 people receiving Holy Communion. What a truly blessed event!

What a busy week!!! It feels like it just flew right by! Yesterday, I had the privilege of going with the Junior Soccer girls to the playoffs in Burnaby. (They did really well!) I also got back to school just in time to see the Grade Three relays at the mini meet. WOW! These kids are fast! I look forward to their successes in the upcoming meets. Just a reminder that if your child is away for a meet, they are responsible for the missed work.

I have finished marking the Socials tests today and will send them home to be signed tomorrow. If your child has a minimally meets expectations mark or lower, they will need to take a retake next Tuesday.
Thursday is Holy Thursday and we will be participating in a school wide retreat. The Grade Sevens will be re-enacting the Stations of the Cross for each class in the morning and all the primary grades will be doing different activities in the afternoon together.
If you would like to send Easter treats for the students, please do so next week when we return from the long weekend, so we can concentrate on the true meaning of Holy Thursday and Good Friday this week. Thank you!

Happy April's Fools! We had a fun morning this morning talking about pranks and jokes... I did warn them that pranks had to end at noon so hopefully you are all in the clear tonight! I did sit on a whoopie cushion today :)
We just started reading Charlotte's Web, one of my all-time favourite books. We have an in-class project we are working on in conjunction with the chapters. It's an ABC book that reflects the themes and characters of the book.
